On Wednesday 17th May, we had great excitement listening in to BBC Three Counties Radio station where our very own Volunteer Fran Donaghy did an interview about our Expression Through Art course and the benefits that our “Art in the Attic in the Hub” is bringing to the Hertford community!
BBC Three Counties Radio is BBC’s local radio station serving the counties of Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and Buckinghamshire. In the interview, which can be heard by skipping ahead to the video timestamp of 2:11, Fran gives an insight into the idea behind the group and how we managed to transform what was a plain upstairs office space into a creative, playful and non-judgemental spot for art expression and those struggling with their mental health.
Our Expression Through Art course runs every Tuesday from 1pm to 3pm, at the Community Alliance Skills and Learning Centre, in Hertford, 67 Fore Street, SG14 1AL. Each session is entirely free with no commitment whatsoever and is supported by our Community Support members of staff, Sarah Forbes and Emily Gregory.
