Small Charity Bar Manager

Initial 12-month Fixed-Term Contract
Part-time – 16 hours per week, including evenings, weekends, and occasional bank holidays. Potential for increased hours as the charity continues to grow.

£12,108.11 per annum (Full-time equivalent £28,000)
plus 4% pension contribution and healthcare support package

Broxbourne Big Local is looking for an experienced, responsible, and community-oriented Charity Bar Manager to lead and shape the newly refurbished bar at Wormley Community Centre. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key role in the development of a charity-driven bar that aligns with Broxbourne Big Local’s broader initiatives for community empowerment and sustainability.

The role starts as a 16-hour per week position, with a focus on developing and managing the bar. In the early stages, you will play a key role in supporting the overall operations of Wormley Community Centre, gaining a deep understanding of its functions and Broxbourne Big Local’s charitable initiatives. This will include involvement in the centre’s daily operations, as well as contributing to the physical development and presentation of the bar.

We are committed to modernising and sustaining Wormley Community Centre, ensuring it remains a vital resource for local businesses, charities, and organisations that empower our community. We focus on creating opportunities for residents to get involved and support our shared goals.

As part of our vision, we’re excited to launch a new charity bar. This initiative will not only generate additional income to sustain the long-term future of the Wormley Community Centre but will also provide more opportunities for local volunteers to become part of the BBL family and contribute to this exciting journey.
