What a spectacular way to end Small Charity Week and show our support to small, growing and upcoming charities and larger organisations at our 2023 Summer Conference, The Alliance Exchange – “sharing best practice for stronger communities.” Small Charity Week is a campaign to celebrate and raise the profile of the small charities in the sector.
At our networking event, we were able to meet some of the objectives of Small Charity Week as we improved the knowledge, representation and sustainability of smaller charities who were in attendance. We allowed small charities and organisations to voice their issues and concerns in relation to Community Hubs, Skills & Training, Funding, and Communications & Connections. They were also able to listen to the advice of other organisations and find out what works well for them, discover ideas of how to resolve issues, as well as gain insights from our chosen expert speakers.
We thoroughly enjoyed seeing up to 70 in attendance move about and engage in our speed exchange exercise which we hope was both interactive and informative. Many thanks to those who were able to attend and our expert speakers, Claire Stratford from Herts Sports Partnership, Willow Humphreys from Hertfordshire Community Foundation, Michael Niles from Michael Niles Training and Media and our freelancer Jacquie Hime who did a brilliant job in facilitating the discussions. We hope you were also able to meet with our new Community Builder, Corinna Hartwig for further ongoing support.
As always, we are always looking for ways to improve our conferences, please make sure to provide us with your feedback by completing our short feedback form here.
We look forward to seeing you all at our next event!
