2-year Fixed-Term Contract

Hours: Part-time – 2.5 Days a week, 18.75 hours a week
Pay: £12,382 – £13,163 per annum (depending on experience) plus 4% pension contribution and healthcare support package

 Wormley Community Centre is a busy, community-led hub supporting thousands of visits each month.

Broxbourne Big Local are looking for a reliable, practical and friendly Facilities, Events and Customer Services Coordinator to provide essential on-site support. This role ensures the centre is safe, welcoming and well-prepared for the wide range of activities, events and private hires that take place throughout the week. Alongside facilities and events support, the postholder will play a key role in managing bookings, responding to enquiries, issuing invoices, and supporting smooth customer service across the charity.

This is a hands-on position involving room setups, lifting and moving equipment, supporting hirers, and being a consistent on-site presence during our busiest periods.

Wormley Community Centre hosts over 120 sessions each month and is a vital space for families, young people, older residents, and local organisations. This role ensures the centre continues to operate safely, efficiently and at a high standard — supporting community wellbeing, reducing staff pressure, and enabling the charity to grow sustainably.

Based at Wormley Community Centre, we support thousands of visits every month and provide a safe, welcoming space where residents of all ages can come together, access support, and take part in activities that improve their lives.

We host a wide range of programmes including NHS health and wellbeing courses, mental health support groups, youth activities, disability services, cost-of-living support, and community events. We also provide affordable space for small local businesses, charities and grassroots groups who rely on the centre to deliver their work.

Broxbourne Big Local staff are employed by Community Alliance Broxbourne and East Herts whose terms of contract will apply.
