Announcement – Steve Harvey (Chair of Community Alliance)
“I am delighted to confirm that Chris Dungate will succeed Ian Richardson as Chief Executive Officer for Community Alliance Broxbourne & East Herts with effect from 21 June 2024 following a short hand-over period. Chris joins Community Alliance from Groundwork East – the leading environmental community charity in the region. Chris has worked with Groundwork in a variety of roles since 2005 and is currently Operations & Development Director. He has played a major role in the growth of Groundwork East from initially focussing on Hertfordshire to its current regional remit.
As many of you will be well aware, Ian has overseen the evolution, growth and huge success of Community Alliance for the last 25 years. We will of course be paying tribute to Ian’s incredible service and achievements in the coming weeks. In the meantime, I hope you will join me in welcoming Chris to the charity. The Community Alliance Board is extremely pleased to have recruited Chris who will bring with him enormous local, regional and national knowledge of the sector. We are looking forward with excitement to this next stage of our growth and evolution.”
